My role as your Project Manager
For my client there are two main wins. The first, is having someone with experience take ownership for the project's management - coordinating all the required activities and the team - dedicated but not adding to staff headcount. The second, is having someone that understands both property and construction and how the project integrates with other initiatives and goals to ensure correct alignment, prioritisation and approach.
In common with a residential Client Representative engagement, advocating for the client and owner of the project is fundamental along with achieving the output and deliverables.
My key areas of responsibility:
Progress
I monitor and report on progress against schedule, drive the achievement of deliverables and challenging unexpected rescheduling or delay.
Costs
I ensure your budget is managed, costs are specific and clear and resolve queries or concerns.
Quality
I attend site as necessary, checking quality, the input of work from other teams, plus identifying and managing issues and risks.
I ensure you are aware of upcoming or arising decisions and communicate choices clearly to maintain progress and avoid confusion or delay.
Decision-making
Communication
I promote professional, clear and timely communication to support collaborative working and record keeping across the whole team.
Client experience
I strive for efficient use of my client's time, using concise summaries, succinct option descriptions, minimising escalation of issues and generally promoting confidence and the opportunity to enjoy the project.

The Process
Any engagement starts with an informal meeting - sometimes online - to understand the project and its wider context, and to decide whether working together is a 'good fit'.
Each project has a detailed brief and shared understanding of the particular requirements.
I can work with you from the earliest involvement, which can be an initiative or property search, or once the heads of terms on a lease has been signed, right through to occupation and possibly on-going support afterwards.
